YAVA is a cashew nut brand born in the naturally rich island of Bali, Indonesia. By sourcing various ingredients directly from small-scale farmers in the area, we create delicious snacks that make the most of 100% fresh and tasty local ingredients.

Brand Story
Beautiful natural scenery that captivated explorers
>YAVA founder Aaron Fishman was a world traveler and explorer. In 2012, he visited eastern Bali as a medical volunteer and was struck by the beautiful landscape. Dense jungle, volcanoes, rugged hills. And there, he found a rich and complex culture and vibrant community. But at the same time, he witnessed the problems behind the beauty.
A new business that saved impoverished areas
This village was a poor cashew farming area. Aaron started a business to give the area livelihood and educational opportunities. YAVA was born to create a business that distributes real food that can only be made here, born from the beautiful nature, sustainably, to provide jobs to the villagers and improve the quality of the community.

>YAVA sources fresh, high-quality ingredients from its own farms, which are created by the vast nature, and has grown rapidly from a few stores in Bali to a company that sells overseas to Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. As a result, it has provided jobs to more than 400 people in eastern Bali, and local women who were previously unemployed can now earn an income and freely pursue an education. YAVA continues to engage in various social contribution activities with the goal of further local development.

A new type of cereal that can be used as a substitute for rice
Unlike conventional cereals that require milk, this cereal can be easily eaten without milk as a snack, and is a nutritious new cereal that can be used as a substitute for rice. It will support your life in various situations, such as when going out on a picnic, when you need a light snack at work, or when you need nutrition after exercise.
1. Low GI foods that are currently in the spotlight
Most of the crops used as ingredients in Granola Bites, such as oatmeal, cashew nuts, bananas, and coconuts, are low GI foods with a GI value of 55 or less. Low GI foods have been gaining attention in recent years because they prevent sudden increases in blood sugar levels and help change the body to one that is more prone to losing weight. They are health foods that can also be expected to prevent obesity and diabetes.
2. Rich in dietary fiber, yet easy to eat
Granola Bites' main ingredient, oatmeal, is garnering attention as a grain that is rich in dietary fiber. Compared to cereals such as corn flakes and brown rice, it has about three times the amount of fiber. It is especially popular among pregnant women and those who have trouble with bowel movements. It keeps you full for a long time, and is a diet food that is also expected to help prevent high blood pressure.

Bali cocoa beansBeautiful, deep tropical cocoa beans are sourced directly from smallholder farmers in Tabanan. The natural flavor of the cocoa beans enriches many of our products. Homemade Sea SaltOur salt comes from the ocean in Bali, just a 15-minute drive from our factory. Traditional Balinese sea salt is known for its coarse grain crystals. Sun-dried and hand-harvested, our mineral-rich sea salt is essential to flavour our snacks. |

RosellaAs part of an agricultural improvement program, farmers are provided with seeds and trained to plant rosella.
