What is the movie EO?
Jerzy Skolimowski is one of the most highly acclaimed directors in postwar European cinema. This film won the Jury Prize and Best Original Score at the 75th Cannes Film Festival, as well as two awards at the National Society of Film Critics Awards: Best Foreign Language Film and Best Cinematography, and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
Filmed in Poland and Italy, this is director Skolimowski's first new work in seven years, and the protagonist is a donkey named EO. The film was inspired by Robert Bresson's "East of Wales," which the director himself said was "the only film that made me cry." The audience is transported by Michał Dimek's stunning, immersive camerawork and the impressive music by Pawel Mikietin, who is sweeping the world's film awards, as they watch EO's journey, and at times they also see the unexpected rough seas through EO's eyes.
This unparalleled visual experience, which allows viewers to experience the absurdity and foolishness of human beings from a completely different perspective, has been praised for its innovation and originality, with people calling it "striking" and "a boldness rare in recent films."
Leaving his partner Cassandra in the circus, EO encounters a Polish soccer team, a somewhat shadowy Italian priest named Vito, and a countess. What does the world look like through his eyes, and what does it suggest to us?

EO is a grey donkey with sad eyes and a boundless sense of curiosity.
He lived in a circus as the partner of the kind-hearted performer Cassandra, but one day he was taken away from the circus.
During his unexpected journey, he encounters good and bad people and endures the wheels of fate that turn good fortune into misfortune and despair into unexpected happiness.
But he never loses his innocence for even a moment.
