Global Organic Group celebrates 10 years since its establishment
It's been 10 years since I started Global Organic Group with my friend Scott, who had extensive experience in the US natural and organic industry, having had a father who made soap for hippies in the late 60's.
We began our journey together with the goal of developing a natural and organic wellness business in Japan, starting with distributing Scott's brother and wife brand, Andalou Naturals, which was a huge success.
Business growth and success
Starting with one brand, we have grown over the years to include 13 brands at one point.
However, due to the impact of COVID, my family's move, and the fall in the value of the yen, my values have changed dramatically (to say the least). Time is equal for everyone, and it is getting shorter every day. Therefore, I have come to feel that it is important to act on what I truly believe in and be proud to say, "This is my true heart."
It's not that I didn't believe in what I was doing, but somewhere deep inside I knew I wanted to do something more creative - I wanted to build a product from scratch and bring my ideas to life.
Taking on the challenge of "Kosmic Alchemy"
You may be surprised that I am not as passionate about the brands we import and sell today as I used to be, but this is my honest opinion. I have decided to devote all my energy to a new project: Kosmic Alchemy, which is born from the knowledge of the last decade and is a tribute to all the people who have inspired me in the world of wellness.
This was made possible thanks to my wife Natalie, who patiently listened to me, gave me advice, handled the brand design, and responded to my last-minute requests.
I would also like to thank Mr. Iguchi and the rest of the team who have been with us since the early days of the Global Organic Group, and who have helped us maintain a steady course for so many years.
The birth of a new brand. I don't know yet where it will lead us, but I hope that I can contribute and bring light to this community.
